Sat, February 07, Arrive Auckland International Airport.
Arrival from the USA from 5:30-6:30 AM. Clear NZ Customs and Immigration and meet our driver for an accessible transfer to your centrally located Auckland Hotel. Immediate check-in is included. Our centrally located hotel is a excellent location for staying busy or for looking around Auckland. The balance of the day and evening are for independent activities. (B, L)

Sun, February 08, Auckland
After a big Kiwi buffet breakfast travel about one hour outside Auckland to the beautiful Waitakere Ranges for a morning of visits and eco-lectures about New Zealand's delicate ecology and their environmental troubles with animal visitors. The park and woodlands we examine and studying today encompasses everything that's 100% clean and green about New Zealand. Return to Auckland where lunch is included and the balance of the afternoon and evening are for independent activities. (B, L).

Mon, February 09, Auckland
After a big Kiwi buffet breakfast spend the morning in the company of penguins and 100's of other native underwater wildlife learning about the unique wildlife of New Zealand and Antarctica. Before lunch return to our hotel on a scenic drive along Auckland's waterfront and the Americas Cup Yachting village. After lunch the balance of the afternoon and evening are for independent activities (B,L).

The day is trouble free; a big Kiwi breakfast and our transfer to the ship at 2:00 PM (B).

Wed, February 11, Tauranga
Disembark in the morning and head inland for an experience at the epicenter of Maori cultural in Rotorua. Experience an authentic Maori greeting and tour the Whakarewarewa thermal lands and Maori village. Our lunch today is a traditional Mauri "hangi·" of foods steamed in the thermal springs. After lunch witness live exhibitions about New Zealand's important sheep industry featuring demonstrations by sheep dogs, sheep & sheep shearing. Return to Tauranga in time to board our ship (L).

Fri, February 13, Christchurch
Disembark and spend the morning with Kiwi's and a splendid ride around the rim of an extinct volcano before looking at actual Kiwi's and learning all we can about New Zealand's favorite nocturnal creature and it's threat by animal predators. After lunch in the company of New Zealand's wildlife our next visit fulfills the day with a special educational presentation at the Antarctic exploration center. After a day of spectacular visits in time to board our ship (L).

Sat, February 14, Dunedin
Disembark and drive along the rugged Otago Peninsula where the morning is devoted to a series of experiences with the Royal Albatross at only mainland breeding colony of albatross in the world. Weather permitting spend time at the colony observatory viewing these remarkable seabirds. After lunch spend a leisurely visit with a train horticulturist amidst 30 acres of private gardens hearing about New Zealand's native flowers, trees and ferns (L).

No Onshore tours are available at Milford Sound. Passengers are unable to disembark and return to the ship. Viewing from the ship is profound.

Wed, February 18, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia
Disembark in the afternoon and tour Hobart with commentary from our local guide before ascending to the top of Mt. Wellington for incredible views of Hobart, its suburbs, towns and waterway. Local stops along the way before returning to our ship.

Fri, February 20, Melbourne
Disembark and drive to the Blue Dandenongs for a ride on an original steam train locomotive. Our time is spent in the beautiful Blue Dandenong Ranges in the company of colorful native birds, lush green fern gullies in mountain filled with gigantically tall ash eucalyptus trees and ferns as big as palm trees. Lunch in a local pub is our highlight today and no one will leave hungry. Return to the ship through fashionable maritime villages and coastlines gardens to board our ship on time (L).

Sun, February 22, Sydney City Tour
Disembark and begin a tour of Sydney's highlights: the Rocks, Harbour Bridge and a visit to the Opera House for a photo stop. Continue to Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair (photo stop) followed by an unforgettable lunch at the Sydney Harbour fish market. After lunch visit Bondi Beach, Watson’s Bay and other Sydney landmarks before returning to our Sydney hotel where the balance of the evening is for independent activities.(B,L,)

Mon, February 23, Aboriginal Cultural Center & featherdale Wildlife Sanctuary
Spend the morning painting your oen boomarang as you are engrossed in the Aboriginal cultural with activities, lectures and demonstrations concerning Aboriginal life and customs. Lunch is an authentic Aussie BBQ Lunch and Bush Tucker Tasting with steak, Kangaroo, Emu, sausage and salad served with tea and coffee.
After lunch the entire afternoon is devoted to close encounters with kangaroos, koalas and hundreds of native birds at a private nature preserve. After a full day return to your Sydney hotel where the balance of the evening is for independent activities (B,L).

The balance of the morning is for independent activities and the meeting point is at Circular Quay for a narrated afternoon Cruise of Sydney Harbour. Here we celebrate our memories of our trip DownUnder and make our awards of Downunder Exploration. Balance of the afternoon and evening for independent activities (B).
